On May 25, Vyshyvanka March 2025 took place in the heart of London, bringing together hundreds of Ukrainians and international supporters under one message: every deported Ukrainian child must come home.
This year’s march was dedicated to one of the most painful crimes of Russia’s war against Ukraine — the deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children. According to official data, more than 19,000 Ukrainian children have been abducted. Only 1,324 have been returned so far.
The march route stretched from Wellington Arch to the St. Volodymyr Monument. Participants walked in solidarity, carrying Ukrainian flags, wearing traditional embroidered shirts, and holding signs demanding justice and international action.
The event was supported by the Ukrainian community in the UK, including St Mary’s Ukrainian School, CYM London, AUGB London, Dzvin, Ukrainian Social Club, and Women Fight For UA. Among the speakers were Eduard Fesko, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK, and Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of the Holy Family.
Chief Operating Officer of Bring Kids Back UA and Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Dariia Zarivna, expressed her gratitude to all those who marched and supported the cause. The Bring Kids Back UA initiative was a partner of the event, working to raise global awareness of this war crime and mobilize international support for the return of every stolen child.
The march once again underscored a clear message:
We will not rest until the last Ukrainian child is home.
Justice must be served.
