The Russian Federation has been listed in the UN Secretary-General’s annual report on Children and Armed Conflict

For the third year in a row, the Russian Federation has been listed in the UN Secretary-General’s annual report on Children and Armed Conflict for committing grave violations against Ukrainian children.

The 2024 report highlights Russia’s continued killing and maiming of children, attacks on schools and hospitals, and abductions. It also underscores Russia’s severe restrictions on humanitarian access to children in temporarily occupied territories.

These are not isolated incidents. These are part of a systematic policy of violence that endangers the lives, safety, and futures of Ukrainian children.

The world must act. We call on the international community to move beyond concern and take action. No child should grow up under occupation, under threat, or in fear.
